AUDITION MATERIALS FOR HYC 2025
Special Message about this season: for a few reasons, the HYC Directors have elected to make this a Fall-Only program this year. We realize that many students will be disappointed by this, but it is a necessary change. However, we have reduced the cost of participation, and we know that we are still going to have an exciting Fall with two performances and the Dive-In!

You must complete these two items BEFORE the audition:
AUDITION INFO
Who: Hastings 3-5 Graders
What: A choir singing a variety of songs in a concert, at a Varsity Football playoff game, and a Dive in Movie (Swim at the CERC while watching a movie!)
When: Auditions are Sept. 16 or 17. You choose the day, and then sign up for an available time HERE on SignUp Genius (also linked above). The rehearsal schedule is listed below.
Where: Auditions and Rehearsals are at the HS Choir Room, and the Performance is at the HPAC.
Why: Because it's fun! And it's a chance to learn music and make some new friends.
How: Sign up for an audition time. Fill out the Audition Application HERE (also linked above), and come sing the song at the top of this page - "Ah, Poor Bird."
Cost: $20 - Due at first rehearsal. This covers your student's t-shirt, our accompanist, snacks at the Dive In Movie, and the cost of purchasing music.
Requirements: Attendance at all rehearsals (one excused absence is fine - we know illness happens!), and two or more absences may result in not being able to perform in the concert. If your student is not going to be at a rehearsal, please email Mr. Moore at andrew.moore@hassk12.org

Tues. Oct. 28 Rehearsal
Tues. Nov. 4 Rehearsal until 4:30
Concert in HPAC at 6:30pm, HYC t-shirts
Student call at 6 in the Choir Room
Fri. Nov. 7 (TENTATIVE) National Anthem at HS Varsity Football Playoff Game Approx. 6:30-7:15
Fri Nov 14 HYC Dive In Movie at CERC 5:30-7:30
